Paid Surveys: My Mom Was Scammed Again! That's It!

Author: John Lester

My Mom got scammed again. Don't let this happen to you.

Taking online paid surveys has become a very popular way to earn extra money from home. It is not hard to see why... all you need is a computer that can connect to the Internet and an email account. You signup with as many companies as you wish and then sit back and await the arrival of surveys in your email inbox.

Since most surveys pay between $5 and $25 dollars each, you can easily earn several hundred dollars a month for just a few hours work. In fact, there are many people who earn enough each month to pay for health insurance or even their entire mortgage.

Even the threat of layoffs isn't quite as dire if you know that you have an uninterruptible income stream of hundreds of dollars each month through these paid surveys. At least you can eat.

THAT IS, UNLESS YOU GET DUPED BY ONE OF THOSE SCAM PAID SURVEY WEBSITES.

My mom decided to join one of these paid online survey websites to earn extra money for Christmas. She performed a simple Google search and was amazed at the number of online paid survey networks that appeared. There were literally hundreds of them. (You get access to all the companies that offer paid surveys by signing up with one of these networks).

She felt there were too many of them to really investigate, so from this sea of paid survey networks she selected one and joined.

Big Mistake!

After joining she logged into the website and discovered:

1. The majority of Links didn't work.

2. The site was so complicated that she couldn't figure out how to get around.

3. There was absolutely no online help.

4. The database of companies was obsolete.

Worse was that almost immediately she began receiving SPAM in her email inbox. Not just 2 or 3 pieces, but 50 to 60 pieces of junk mail per day! It's as if her email address was given out to every spammer in North America!

Then the final insult came in the form of a sluggish computer. Her PC started to run very slowly. Even starting and shutting down her PC took longer and longer. After investigating we discovered that her computer had been infected with Ad-ware! These are the little clandestine programs that get onto your hard drive and monitor your surfing and other activities. She had to install software to remove this junk and get her computer back to normal.

THERE ARE MANY SCAM WEBSITES OUT THERE.

Now I know that paid surveys do work because my wife does them .. and gets paid for each one. But my Mom's case illustrates just how easy it is to get scammed on the Internet.

Anyone who decides to earn extra money through online paid surveys must first do their homework. Do not signup with just any network without ding some investigation.
