Online Article Marketing; Critic Says No Empirical Proof it Works

Author: Lance Winslow

Recently a critic slamming the ability of the online article submission sites to perform and return value to online authors who posted articles on their sites launched a scathing attack. He accused the top online article authors as being poor writers and stated that there was absolutely no empirical proof that it was a viable marketing avenue. His argument and challenge claimed that since there were no University Level researching reports proving this that it could not be real.

Well this is silly. First there sure as heck are studies proving article writing is a viable marketing tool. There are many books on the subject of article writing to promote a companys PR campaign. Even Proctor and Gamble uses Buzz Marketing even got attacked for it, because it was working so good that the competition complained, see FTC VS Proctor and Gamble (buzz marketing). Additionally article writing is a form of Buzz Marketing only more honest, because at the bottom of the article it states who is Buzzing and why?

Therefore it is silly to contend that this is not a good marketing tool. And every University teaches word of mouth, friends and family and PR as ways to promote any product or service. Further the University of California at Riverside has a whole department, which does e-commerce research and many papers on the subject. Stanford, UCLA, Georgia Tech, University of Illinois, Texas A and M, University of Florida and in Joplin Missouri there is a special course on only this subject.

Additionally I have written over 2900 articles with over 707,000 article views and massive amounts of click thrus to my websites, I am driving traffic and thought on the Internet. Further I consider myself a marketing expert of PhD status but too busy doing it to go to school for it. Here is my proof, not academia, but rather real life:

Indeed, I have been known on occasion to speak on Marketing Issues to MBA students, so apparently even though I often have a disdain for higher education and their research they believe I am an expert to have me speak. Additionally since I am an authoritative expert in marketing, I challenge the critics to answer this question with their research; Do you think for a minute I would be wasting my time if it did not work?

One who studies my successes must consider my in-depth study in the article marketing realm to be research above and beyond what any college student would bother to do for a thesis project. The pot shot mortar attacks of the International Critics of the Free Online Article Submission Format are forgetting that there are those who actually do it rather than only observe it thru a shallow mind and talk about it. And we certainly do not need a University Level Research Paper to prove that. Think on this.
